Most web designers still look at a website as just a creative task, missing the fact that your website is your first introduction to your potential customers, and so also your first opportunity.
If you are asked “how many visitors did you have on your site last month?” you might proudly say 3000, 5000 or more. So if you are then asked “ok, can you tell me the name of 5 of them?”, could you answer? If not, how can you market or communicate with your visitors as to why they should deal with you and not your competition?! (Similar to if a potential customer walks into your work place and no one talks/acknowledges them.)
People come to your site because they are interested in your product/service, yet the opportunity to find out who is visiting your site is missed by focusing on just design, rather than marketing. Just think… if you had the contact details of those interested visitors from your site, what an impact that could have on sales?!
"Redback Studios recently upgraded our WineIP website; www.wineip.com.au and it has a very smart look and is simple and easy to navigate. The process for us as a business was easy and Laurence was extremely helpful and understood what we were seeking; which reduced the costs in time and money. Redback have been able to help us with technical problems that have arisen outside their responsibility. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Redback to design, develop and maintain your website presence." Sue Henderson WineIP Pty Ltd. August 13, 2012
